CitizenCardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation Session February 2012

As part of the Institute of Leadership’s Community Engagement a first responder awareness session on Citizen Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (Citizen CPR) was held in Templeogue Tennis Club on Tuesday, 28th February 2012.

The training was provided by Ms Liz Curtin, R.G.N. Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Chest Pain Assessment Clinic, St James’s Hospital, and Ms Sibéal Carolan, Lecturer & Programme Director at RCSI Institute of Leadership.

Studies have shown that immediate CPR followed by defibrillation within three to five minutes of sudden cardiac arrest improves survival.
