Institute of Leadership Deliver their first Train the Trainer Programme for The Primary Health Care Corporation in Qatar
On the 18th and 19th
of March Mr Dermot O’Flynn, Director of Professional Development & Training
and Mr Brendan Colclough, Programme Facilitator trained twenty two primary
health care physicians to be clinical trainers. This group of
trainers who were trained are responsible for the training and development of
doctors who are completing their 4 year residence programme with The Primary
Health Care Corporation in Doha.

This unique blended learning programme allowed the participants to prepare for the programme in advance by completing 6 online modules on Delivering a Clinical Presentation, Teaching at the Bedside, Training a Clinical skill, Assessment Methods, The Importance of Feedback and Developing Learning Objectives. Participants had to complete pre and post MCQ’s and on the training assessment day had to deliver a clinical presentation, teach a clinical skill and deliver effective feedback to a colleague. All successful participants received a certificate of completion and 12 CPD points.
