Launch of Irish Survey of Student Engagement (ISSE)

Calling all RCSI Taught Postgraduate students... The Irish Survey of Student Engagement (ISSE) 2016 is open from 22nd February until 13th March 2016 and we want to hear from you. Take a few moments to fill out the survey at studentsurvey.ie and be in with a chance to win a €300 One4All voucher.

2016 Irish Survey of Student Engagement– Q&A

1)      Who organises the survey?

Higher Education Authority (HEA) in conjunction with Irish Universities Association, Institutes of Technology Ireland and Union of Students in Ireland. The survey has a national reach with over 30 higher education institutions participating in the survey


2)      Who is invited to participate?

First Year Undergraduates, Final Year Undergraduates and Taught Postgraduates are invited to participate. 


3)      Why are you conducting the survey?

We want to use your feedback to help identify areas of good practice and areas that may need improvement to enhance the student experience.


4)      When can I complete the survey?

The survey window is open in RCSI for three weeks from 22nd February to 13th March.


5)      Is the survey confidential?

The survey is managed centrally by a third party, independent provider for all participating institutions. All responses to the survey are absolutely confidential, the survey system is set up in a way that responses will never be linked to individuals and only fully anonymised data will be shared with RCSI.


6)      Is there an incentive for taking part?

As a thank you for your participation, all students completing the survey will be given the opportunity to enter their email address into a draw for a 'One-4-All' gift card worth €300 (one gift card for Undergraduate Students and one gift card for Postgraduate Students).
