Dermot O'Flynn Delivers Personal Effectiveness Programme for PHD Students in the University Town of Leuven, Belgium.

Last week Dermot O’Flynn Director of Professional Development was invited to deliver a one day personal effectiveness workshop for 16 PHD students who are currently part of the Mel –Plex Programme. This is a 3 years PHD programme funded through Horizon 2020 Marie Curie Actions.

As part of the fellows development, Dermot ran a workshop which focused on mindfulness, why multitasking doesn’t work, effective time management , personal & work goal setting and managing conflict in research teams. The topics covered fitted in nicely with the development of the fellows personal career plans which will be guided by their supervisors and mentors.
