RCSI-Dubai to develop the Region's Healthcare Leaders
The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland-Dubai (RCSI-Dubai), an international leader in healthcare education, is inviting healthcare professionals to attend an open evening on Wednesday, 10 May 2017 at 6.30pm at the Park Hyatt Hotel, Dubai.
The event will provide health professionals, who wish to advance their learning, with information about RCSI Dubai’s Master’s Degree programmes. Established in 2005, RCSI-Dubai offers a Masters Degree in Healthcare Management and a Masters Degree in Quality and Patient Safety - these programmes are accredited by the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research (MOHESR) and by the National University of Ireland (NUI), Ireland’s largest university.
With campuses in Dublin and Bahrain providing identical courses to those delivered at RCSI-Dubai, health professionals from all over the world are currently developing their leadership and management capabilities to support their career development and to improve health service for the benefits of patients and families. The programmes are delivered using a blend of classroom sessions and internet based learning. This allows busy health professionals to obtain their Master’s degree while continuing to work and support the health system.
Professor Ciaran O’Boyle, Director of the Institute of Leadership said: “More than 550 health professionals have graduated from these programmes in Dubai to date, and many are now leaders in healthcare throughout the region. I believe that leadership can be developed and, at RCSI-Dubai, we provide first-class education, facilities and opportunities for our next generation of healthcare leaders. We look forward to welcoming all healthcare professionals who are interested in becoming the next leaders in their organisations, to the event.”
The open evening will provide networking opportunities for prospective students with a number of key Faculty members as well as members of the RCSI-Dubai Alumni. There will be presentations by Professor Ciaran O’Boyle, and Senior Lecturers Dr John Lawson and Dr Pauline Connolly, as well as Dr Mohammad Al Redha, Chair, RCSI UAE Alumni Committee / Director and the Executive Office for Organizational Transformation, DHA.
