The RCSI Institute of Leadership Delivers Second Clinical Leadership Programme for the Irish Defence Force Clinical Medical Unit

On Wednesday 27th of September, Major General Kevin Cotter the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Irish Defence Force opened the 2nd Clinical Leadership Development Programme for clinical and non-clinical staff working in the Clinical Medical Unit (CMU) He welcomed Dermot O’Flynn and the RCSI Institute of Leadership team, and discussed the positive impact of the first programme. He was accompanied by the Assistant Chief of Staff Brigadier General Peter O'Halloran he stated that the ‘CMU staff are the unsung heroes of the defence force and their personal development is very important to us.

Mr Dermot O’Flynn Director of Professional Development at the Institute of Leadership stated that the programme is unique in that it is an interdisciplinary leadership programme designed for all medical officers, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapist and military staff who are engaged in delivering the best quality of care to defense force personnel.
